Windows 8 and Office 2013 screenshots

Here's a short post of several screenshots of my Windows 8 and Office 2013 Preview installation.

The Start Menu, is now a Start Screen. It's like Windows Phone, only larger.
How about the old Windows Classic look in older versions of Windows? I suspect it's now changed to high contrast themes. Like this:

Oh well.
There are Apps too. The preview Music app preinstalled on the preview looks a bit lame though. Windows Media Player is there still. Here's the all-new Internet Explorer app:
Again, the usual Internet Explorer is still there.
The desktop is still there, although lacking a Start button (you now use the Windows key on your keyboard) and transparency. Transparency is still available in the Release Preview, but it's believed that it won't be available in the final version of Windows 8. It probably will be released on October 26.

In addition, here are some screenshots of the Office 2013 Preview that I installed on Windows 8. Well, I'll just show some screenshots of Word.

Windows 8 may be nice to use for some, but not for others. Office 2013, on the other hand, looks great and works great, and is certainly worth a try.

Try Windows 8 only if you know how to partition your PC's hard drive, or you may end up uninstalling your current operating system if not careful. You can try Office 2013 if you are running Windows 7 or 8 at http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/en. You have to be connected to the Internet throughout installation.

Support for both Windows 8 and Office 2013 testers can be obtained at http://answers.microsoft.com.
